Tirukkoil Vazhipattu Kuzhu Meeting held

A congregation of about 710 villagers from 200 villages of Kanchipuram district Uthiramerur, Achirupakkam & Tirukkazhukundram blocks participated in the Tirukkoil Vazhipaatu Kuzhu meeting organised in Shrimatham. Earlier in the morning they had darshan of Kamakshi Amman in the temple. They partook prasadam and then came to Shrimatham in procession amidst Bhajans by villagers of Mullukulatur, Pandoor & Perumbedu.

Shri Pammal Vishwanathan, coordinator of Tirukkoil Vazhippadu Kuzhu welcomed the gathering.

Shri Kannan of Tirukkoil Vazhippadu Kuzhu presented details of the work done by the Kuzhu which covered the Kuzhus weekend visits to the temples of the three blocks of Kanchipuram district. He highlighted the visits made by Their Holinesses to various village temples.
His Holiness Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamiji in His Anugraha Bhashanam highlighted the need of residing near temples.

His Holiness mentioned the need to protect agricultural lands and stressed that in villages one should actively perform Vyavasayam, Kaitozhil, Kovil Vazhipadu- agriculture, handicraft and temple worship. His Holiness also told that temples should not go without deepam and that at least one naivedyam should be offered in the temples. His Holiness mentioned that villagers should unite to perform Jeernodharana of dilapidated temples and that there is no need for new temples. His Holiness told that Shrimatham will help for performance of Kumbhabhishekam and other worship activities through Tirukkoil Vazhipattu Kuzhu. HE then Blessed the assembled.

The villagers were given a bag which contained Shloka & religious books like Alaya Vazhipadu, Tiruvizhakku Puja, Bhajan CD, Photos, Note, Pen along with Vibhuti & Kumkumam.
